It is sad to reflect that, when I first wrote this in May 2007, only one of these ships, seen below, HMS Exeter,
is the sole remaining warship in RN service to have seen operations in the "Falklands war" of 1982.
How much further can the RN, and all of our other armed forces, be drawn down ?.

Now, in 2014, none of these fine ships remain in service with the R.N., and it seems that our current crop
of so called "Politicians" wish to reduce our Navy even more, without an end yet in sight !!
